Do you have plans for the 4th of July? Is your dog nervous around fireworks?
We'll be hosting our first Noise Desensitization Seminar! This group class will focus on exercise, confidence-building, and noise acclimation. The goal is to provide your dog with healthy outlets for physical and mental energy, and to teach skills to help them better manage fear and anxiety around loud noises.
We'll begin with a structured walk, followed by exercises that teach a place command and self-soothing techniques. We'll also utilize a sound system to gradually increase the volume of firework noises, allowing dogs to build positive associations and confidence through controlled exposure.
There will be no actual fireworks on the 4-acre property. However, there may be fireworks in the surrounding neighborhood on the Eve of 4th of July.
The seminar will be held at Bayshore HQ on July 3rd at 6:30 PM.
